Video files (.wmv) flicker in PowerPoint
I'm inserting motion graphics video files (.wmv) into a Powerpoint
presentation. When I view the video files in the Slide Show mode, they flicker at the beginning. Also, during this flicker a blank black frame appears. Is there a setting in Powerpoint that will change this? The video (.wmv) files play fine in Media Player. |

Video files (.wmv) flicker in PowerPoint
This is unfortunately one of the 'issues' of using videos with PowerPoint
(although PPT 2010 solves this and almost all other issues!). but the flicker is more machine specific than PPT specific. So when using the same presentation on a different computer with different graphics card it will startup differently (eg. no flicker). Two things to try that should minimize the flicker: - Place the video under another image (such as a .jpg of the video 1st frame). Videos always play on top, so when the video begins it will play on top of the image, but the transition can often reduce the startup flicker (or flash). - Another thing to try is set the video to have an entrance animation (generally FADE IN FAST ( or very fast). -- Troy @ TLC MS PowerPoint MVP Check out www.ThePowerPointBlog.com "Tim Rentler" Tim wrote in message ...
