Outlook asking security question when sending email.
I have just installed a large number of updates. Now, using Outlook 2002 SP3
I get the following security alert: "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?" I get the alert EVERY TIME I SEND AN EMAIL!!!! Outlook is treating itself like a possible virus! Someone please tell how to stop this nonsense. I've already been the the KB. No answer there. TIA James |

The answers are there, but as a shortcut see http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems, especially the part about the Adobe PDFMaker application.

It's complaining about some add-in you have, like Adobe Acrobat's PDF Maker add-in. Outlook asking security question when sending email.
Hmm. Who ever updates that site should add Bullguard Spamfilter to the list,
because that's what I'm using (I don't have Adobe PDFMaker), and disabling it stopped the warnings. There is probably not an update from Bullguard correcting this since I just, two days ago, installed the latest version. Thank you for your reply. Outlook asking security question when sending email.
You might want to drop a note to webmaster at slipstick.com about that.
That's a pretty pitiful spam tool, I have to say, if it can't deal with an Outlook security issue that's been around for years. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "jrbrady" wrote in message ...
