Default dialup box always appearing

When I go into the contacts folder and select a name that I wish to edit i.e.
enter a new cell number when the card appears and I enter the number the dial
up box appears and will not close. I am on cable so have no dial up. Is there
any way to disable this feature. Thanks

No. You need to enter your dialing location anyway so that Outlook will know
how to format the phone number. Outlook gets very cranky if it doesn't know
where you are.
