Default cant close form and view table

Press the shift key when you open the database

Next select Tools menu and alter the StartUp options to remove the form name
(select None)

Hope this helps

Thumbs up

JRS:

It sounds like you should open the database while simultaneously holding the shift key. This will bybass the "AutoExec" macro (or opening the form specified in the Start Up window).

From there, you can either highlight the form in the Database window and select Form Design and modifiy the form so it has a Close button, or go to Tools/Startup and remove the form name from the Startup From/Page field (that is if you want to modify these things, or leave them alone)

It depends on how thoroughly they locked down the database. The first
thing to try is to hold down the Shift key when opening the database
(or, if it's asking for a username and password, hold down Shift when
you press Enter after typing your password).

Or, you may be able to just press F11 (while the database is open) to
bring up the database window.

The developer could have blocked both these avenues - post back if so,
there are more complicated ways to get around such blocks.
