Default When sending to a distribution list everyone is getting 2 emails

When I send to a distribution list all the recipiants get 2 emails, have
checked the list and there is only one of each address.
If anyone can help it would be apreciated.
Thanks

There is no information here. There is nothing we could tell you without
knowing Outlook version, mail transport type, how the DL was created and how
the DL was selected as a recipient.

It is Outlook 2003
The DL was created by selecting recipiants from the contact and adding them
to the DL, The mail transport is POP3/SMTP
The DL was selected by using the To button and selecting it from my contacts
list.
In the email type it gives the DL as MAPIPDL.
Thanks
Chris

This is not known Outlook behavior, so there must be something going on with
the DL or the message itself. Have you examined the DL itself to make sure
it does not contain duplicate entries? Have you made sure the DL isn't
getting entered twice in the Outlook Address Book interface? How do the
recipients appear in Sent Items?

The DL dose not contain duplicates.
The recipiants in the sent item are normal.
It's not entered twice in the Address Book.
The message seem's normal

No idea then. Does every DL behave this way or only one? You'll need to log
a transmission to track this down any further.

I am also having the same problem. I recently upgraded from Outlook Express
to Outlook. At first I thought it had something to do with when I transferred
the details across, so I deleted the DL & reloaded the contacts under a new
DL name.
Same thing happened. The contacts are receiving two emails, one of which is
fine, the other is a heap of heiroglyphics.
My new computer also gives the option of having multiple users and I am
wondering if the addresses are doubling up somewhere.
Like Chris, I urgently need assistance, and the people in the DL are
thinking I am sending them a virus.
