Default Org Chart Automatically Built in Outlook

Is there some type of plug-in or tool that will automatically build an org chart from your Outlook contacts in Powerpoint or some other program? I would like it to pull the data from the fields in Outlook to create such an organization chart.

Please advise,

David Payne

Since the Outlook records don't really have any information about the relationships between contacts, it would be pretty hard to automatically generate an organization chart. There is at least one application that goes the other way -- from an org chart to individual contacts though.

The best way for you to use the information you have would be to filter your contact folder based on the company then use mail merge to generate a listing with the fields you want to use in your organization chart. You could use that list to paste infomation in an organization chart created in either Word or Powerpoint
