How do I change the default duration of an appointment
Hi group
How do I change the default duration of appointments in Outlook (2003 SP2) ? It is 30 minutes, and I'd like it to be 45 minutes. Also, when dragging appointmens in the calendar from one time to another, the time is changed by steps of 30 minutes. I'd like to change that to 15 minutes. Thanks Jacob |

How do I change the default duration of an appointment
Normally you change the default size of an appointment by changing the size
of the divisions in a day but 45 minutes isn't one of the choices since you can't divide an hour into 45 minute chunks "Jacob Havkrog" wrote in message ... RIght-click an empty area of the calendar, choose "Other Settings" and change the "Time scale" drop-down to "15 minutes". This will also assist you in your first goal in that, when viewing the Day view, you'll be able to preselect a 45 minute slot and then when you click NewAppointment (or Meeting Request), the default start and end times will correspond to the selection you made. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

How do I change the default duration of an appointment
There were a number of threads regarding this same 'change default duration'
issue, but my question is the reverse. When an attempt is made to schedule an event that last more than 30 minutes, it will save the event as a 30 minute event instead of what was originally inputted. Have you tried preselecting the range on the day view before clicking New? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
