SAVE PROBLEM!!!
I have a document with track changes. I accepted all changes in the
document, then turned off track changes for submittal to a client. Finally, I have selected Final from the drop down menu to make the document final. Why is it that when I save the document, close it, then re-open it, it says "Final Showing Markup". How do I have it say "Final"? Ben |

SAVE PROBLEM!!!
No need to SHOUT!!! If you accepted all changes, then Final view should
look the same as Final Showing Markup view, so what difference does it make if the document opens in one view or the other? bronen wrote: I have a document with track changes. SAVE PROBLEM!!!
The options in the list on the Revieing Toolbar change *nothing * about the
doc - IOW, selecting Final isn't what makes the doc final - accepting/rejecting changes & turning off the Tracking is what does that. The list just allows you to choose which option to use for viewing the doc & its setting cannot be changed permanently. In addition to what g-n-o said, nobody even sees that unless the Reviewing Tolbar is displayed - in which case it confirms that the Final they are viewing contains No Changes. If there are no changes tracked in the doc it makes no difference which choice is selected from the list. -- HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "bronen" wrote in message ...
