Sql Server 2005 and linked tables
Ok I bought the rope, tied and know and Jumped, maybe someone can help me
out of this mess. I used the upsizing wizard to upsize a set of tables (25) into Sql Server 2005 express, worked fine. I checked the mark to link the new tables to the application, since I wanted to maintain the code in the front end and did not want to hassle with the problems generated when I build a *.adb project (loss of code, etc.) Now I have the application linked to the sql Server tables through OLE db (it appears). Now I need to relink them to a different server (change the link's connection string). It would appear the table link wizard only recognizes the ODBC drivers). The links are nicely stored in the SysObjects table but of course are not editable there. Egads!!! Ed Warren. |
