Outlook 2002 and Enter Network Password
A few times a day I get the "Enter Network Password" window popup when
checking emails. I am sure all my settings are correct. I contacted my ISP and they told me it is a known problem of Outlook 2002. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone had this happen with any other versions? Thanks |

It is a known issue when you have multiple accounts configured which use the
same POP3 server and the POP3 server only supports single login. Outlook 2003 and later don't have this issue as the mail checking will be asynchronous when Outlook detects the accounts are on the same server. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more ----- "--Mardman--" wrote in message ... I have only one account configured. So I do not believe this is the problem.

Outlook 2002 and Enter Network Password
We have had this problem in our office for weeks now about the network log in
popup. Today we were told to check our username - it must all be lowercase letters. One person in our office already had a lowercase username and he was the only one that did not get the popups. Since late morning, we have all changed ours to lowercase and have not received any popups yet. The supposrt tech told us that this is a common cause of intermitent popups. Try this. In Outlook go to Internet e-mail settings (via tools) and under logon information make sure your username is all lowercase. Hope this helps. "Eyerishangel" wrote: I have only one account configured.
