Data Type
Issue:
I have a linked table (ODBC) each time I run a query a pop- up box appears asking for my password for the other system. I then design a make table query using the Access grid. I also have a MS Access database. The problem that I have when trying to develop an unmatched query is the data type within the linked table. One table has a field called GrantID which has a a data type of text the other field is called Serial # which as a data type of number but both table field name display the same number. Question: Is there a way in the make table query where I can set the data type (maybe automatically)? |

Data Type
No you can't change the datatype automatically to my knowledge. If these two
fields contain the same data and just named different, they should be the same datatype in order to execute your unmatched query successfully. -- G Vaught "Allison" wrote in message ...
