A carpool mate's messages to me don't always arrive. Sometimes yes,
sometimes no. She says she spells my name correctly. They aren't in
junkmail. They just disappear. Why? Thanks.

Intermitent reception if often a problem on the sender's side. You as
recipient can't fix that.

Thanks, Brian. The weird thing is, it happens often with her, but apparently
not from anyone else. Maybe we just need instant communication more easily,
so we notice it more often, and since she's in carpool, the word "pick up" is
sometimes in the email. Maybe that gets filtered somehow. Thanks for
responding.

More evidence that it's her problem.

That's hard to say. If you have an application filtering mail, disable it
and see if that helps. Otherwise, she can generate whatever logs her mail
client can produce and examine them for any problems.
