Excuse the OT..
As a kid, the valleys were always black.. dust everywhere, pitheads, and the
North was always wet.. last time I made the trip up from Pontypridd, through the Rhonnda to the head of the Valleys and Brecon, then a fast ride up to Cerrig, Blaenau, Bettws (stopping for a night or two at the Royal Oak) then on to Lllanberis, Lllanfair PG and Holyhead where I learned to sail many years ago.. In the south, the houses had been colored up, and the North was still wet.. some things never change, and in a way I am glad that they don't.. there is so little of my past life still remaining, and what does remain, I doubt I will ever see again..
