Default Auto Install of "new feature"?

Most of the time when I want to use an office application the program begins
to install a new feature. Then it asks for my original disk. I then have to
get up and find it and insert it before I can go on. Is there a way to bypass
this totally unwelcome, obtrusive process? Is there a way to find out what
this "new feature" is?

This is really absurd. I purchased Office 2003 Pro and installed it (to get
the additional applications). Now the program asks for my old (previous) disk
-- even though I upgraded to the Pro version.
Hellllp!

You might try putting the CD in, running a custom installation, and
selecting "run all from my computer." That should take care of it.

You might also want to ask this in the office.setup or office.misc
newsgroup.
