Deleting and existing Page Tab is causing problem with other Tabs?
I inherited an 2007 application which has 5 Tabs as the starting menu
(Home, Display, Orders, Changes, Transportation). The Changes Tab is no longer needed. When I delete the associated Table and Form along with the Page Tab itself, it cause the application to malfunction resulting in giving me pop up dialog box "Enter Parameter Value... OK or Cancel" and lists "Forms!home!Text 40". Text Box 40 is on one of the other (not deleted) menu pages and is used is the expression fields of the 'criteria' in 3 of the queries. It also causes a simular dialog box to pop up when I click on a report command button. I am seeing no relationship in the issue other than the fact that the Changes tab lies on top of the Home tab? Is there a logical means to troubleshoot this problem? |

Try importing your db into a new, empty db:
http://www.btabdevelopment.com/main/...7/Default.aspx Then Compact and Repair and then try it. Do I do this 'before' or 'after' I delete the Changes Tab?

Try it both ways.

Deleting and existing Page Tab is causing problem with otherTabs?
It appears to work on the FIRST import try!
I tried importing the previous file, less the ChangesTable and ChangesForm. I got several errors during the import process: 1) Name Confict with existing module for a ship_form that I do not think is directly related to the Changes Tab ??? 2) No current record (ship_form) again ??? 3) The search key was not found for any record ship_form_category_subform ??? I of course got an error for not finding the change form on start up. I deleted the Change Tab with no apparent problems! All seems to now work fine without the Change Tab!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS VERY MUCH FOR GIVING THIS IDEA! Bob ruralguy via AccessMonster.com wrote: Try it both ways. BobC wrote: Do I do this 'before' or 'after' I delete the Changes Tab?
