Date separator
Dear Expert,
I was wandering how to make exel separate dates. For example: In column A I have a date 2010 04 01; in column B I have number 23 ; in C number 25. In rows from 1 to 10 I have the same 2010 04 01 date with the different numbers in columns B and C. In rows from 11 to 20 I have different date 2010 04 02 and in colums B and C different numbers. I want to make some counting with the numbers in columns B and C, but I need that exel understood the different date because I need to count 45 000 different dates. Please, tell me how to make exel separate different dates, o to make it understand different dates. Thank you. |

Date separator
Use the DATE function - this assumes your date is in cell A2
=DATE(LEFT(a2,4),MID(a2,6,2),RIGHT(a2,2)) You can then format the date to your liking (right click, choose Format Cells... ) "Date separator" wrote: Dear Expert, I was wandering how to make exel separate dates.
