The Switchboard manager is a complicated solution to a quite simple
problem... opening forms, reports, etc.

You can modify it's appearance by adding pictures, text, etc. but your
best bet would be to simply discard it and create your own switchboard
using an unbound form with command buttons. If you use the Command
button wizard to create the buttons, Access will even write much of
the code for you. The resulting switchboard will be much easier to
maintain and you will have more control over it's appearance and
functionality.

Try one as a sample and post back if you need some help with it.
No need to delete the existing one until you are satisfied with the
new one.

The Switchboard is just a form like any other form. Open it in design
view, and put any labels, lines, boxes, curlicues or whatever you want
onto it; just so the buttons aren't disrupted it will still work.
