Help!
My operating system is Windows XP professional. I believe it is up to date.
I am having a problem with Outlook. I have Outlook 2003, service pack 2. I downloaded service pack 3. When I tried to install it I received a message that it could not be installed. From the Microsoft website, I learned there is a problem with the registry. I read about how to fix the problem. It involves finding the GUID. When I looked for the GUID, there were at least 40 entries. I'm afraid to edit 40 entries. Put the original office 2003 CD into my computer. I was going to reinstall the program. When I clicked on set up I got this message "the installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it." So now I am planning to uninstall office. I have backed up my computer. I have created a copy of my personal settings. Does anyone have a less drastic solution? Thanks in advance! |
