I don't know anyone over there and I'd rather not impose on a complete
stranger. :-)

PhotoDraw - and I don't have that. Do you?

Nope, I don't. So I cannot open the file either.

I wonder if someone in the PhotoDraw ng would give it a try?

A friend uses Publisher 2002 with XP.
Unlike my 2000 version he cannot import .mix files generated using
Photodraw.
How can he correct this 'fault'?

I do have Publisher 2000 or so the information detail says. It came with
Office 2000 Professional.

I'd bet good money that you don't have the 2000 version of Publisher (a.k.a.
Publisher 2000), but rather PictureIt! Publishing, or possibly Home
Publishing. Neither of these products is Microsoft Publisher.

I suspect that Photodraw is Picture it! renamed and updated and rebadged.
That you have no problem with .mix with Picture it installed suggests that
if such a programme is installed then 2000 and 2002 will behave properly. See
my other response on this aspect.

Thanks

Hmmm, I have Publisher 2000, 2002 and
2003 installed and have no problem inserting
..mix files in all versions.

My .mix files are from Picture It. .mix files
from PhotoDraw may react differently.

Since posting my question I found on the programme help that 2000 will only
import .mix if Photdraw is also installed. Does this apply to 2002? I guess
that it may.
