Has Vista always been on this computer?

Completely uninstall the driver and reinstall. Do Not install without removing
the driver first.

1. Printing on A4 (with the upper tray selected) from a file that should be
single sheet A4 landscape with 4 columns of mixed text & jpg results in 2
blank pages being spewed by the printer.

Core problem therefore remains. Any ideas for that?

Yes, the computer was brand new - Dell Dimension E520 with Core 2 duo
processor E6320 with 2Gb RAM 3 and a half months ago, with ready-loaded Vista
Home Premium, after which I loaded brand new Office 2007 and then the printer
software. However I will delete & reload the printer software & come back to
you.

Ok. First things first. I uninstalled and then re-installed the printer
software. No change to the results - still 2 blank pages.

Then as per second reply, I opened the printer file, clicked run as
administrator and opened the properties - what did you want me to do then?
Did you want me to change something?

Thanks

No, it was a follow-up to the post above it. I just wanted to make sure you knew
how to navigate to the print server to delete the driver.

I am out of ideas for you. You might get in touch with Xerox. Sometimes there
are drivers in Beta. Who knows they maybe able to help.

Send me one of your files and I will try to print it on a totally
different printer. and see what happens
I only have Pub2003 at the moment but that should not matter.
Anything that changes the evidece is a step towards solving the problem.

I got your files and just opened them with Pub2003 and printed them to
my Fuji Xerox printer and got a landscape page with 4 columns starting
with THE NEXT GENERATION and ending with the picture of a burning car.
And the second file printed with NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD on the left and
a picture of Millie, Max and Peter with the last words on the
bottom --not coming to visit!

Works fine for me so I do not suppose there is any problem with the
files.
