Months have changed - upper left corner
No! That is highly unlikely to fix it. A new profile will, but that can
introduce other problems. You'e better off learning how to find the menus and fix it. http://www.xsolive.com/Outlook%20Scr...odooptions.png - this has two screenshots - one for the tasks, one for to-do options. I added the blue dots, red and green circles to the screenshot to highlight where you should be right clicking (blue dot in red circle) and the command you need once the menu is open. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Thank you very much for the help Diane, however I had already done the
Customize Current View portion. I included an image (named Outlook 2003 TaskPad - Other Settings) to show that it was already checkmarked. And Outlook 2003 doesn't have a To-Do Bar. Otherwise this would be a perfect fix. Diane Poremsky [MVP] wrote: No! That is highly unlikely to fix it. A new profile will, but that can introduce other problems. That dialog is from the taskpad's view? If from the taskpad, reset the
view - if that doesn't help, reboot the computer then start outlook using the /cleanviews command. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. BTW - which side of the screen is the problem? The left is the navigation
pane - the right is where the taskpad is. See http://www.xsolive.com/Outlook%20Scr.../2003tasks.png (you'll need to zoom it in the browser to read the comments.) Yes, the dialog is from the taskpad view. I am not able to reset the current
view - the button is greyed out. The thumbnail calendar issue is from the navigation pane (I don't use taskpad at all). I don't know what the "/cleanviews command" is. How do I do that? I don't use TaskPad.
The image I have is most similar is the middle image. My thumbnail calendar difficulty is in the navigation pane. Diane Poremsky [MVP] wrote: BTW - which side of the screen is the problem? So the problem is you have 3 calendar thumbnails on the left and only want
1? How many you see is controlled by the amt of stuff in the navigation pane. More calendar folders in the list = fewer thumbnail calendars. Views list (View menu, show in navigation pane command) = fewer calendars. Taller window = room for more calendars. You'll also get more calendars in a row if the navigation pane is wide enough to show more than 1. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Months have changed - upper left corner
Ok, frustration running amok...
- I am running Outlook 2003. - I don't use TaskPad. - No buttons have been added/subtracted/moved in the Navigation Panel - it is exactly the same as it has always been (including width) except for there now being three thumbnail calendars instead of only one. No other stuff is added or subtracted from the navigation pane. - The only change _I_ made in Outlook were in TaskPad and I did that by a request from this board (please see that message). So, the Navigation Panel hasn't been changed by me. But it _does_ have more calendars than it used to. What do I do to fix this issue? Help...! the number of calendars shown vertically is dependant on space available -
this is controlled by windows size, number of folders in the pane etc. If the calendars are not in the taskpad either because the taskpad is not visible or because the tasks takeup the entire window, the calendars will be in the navigation pane. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
