Default Method 'Add' of object 'CommandBarControls' failed

I have encountered a problem with an Commercial Addin program by J-Walk
and Associates "PUP2000". I have used this Addin for years and have
never had a problem with it, ever. I also have a fine addin by Ron de
Bruin "Google 6.0" which is great. The reason I mention both of these
addins is because Ron's Google 6.0 is working fine, but John's (John
Walkenbach) PUP2000 menu does not load at all when I start Excel. Ron's
Google 6.0 does get added but perhaps it's because Ron's product only
adds an item to the existing Help menu. The actual error message that
shows when I start Excel is:

Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-time error '-2147467259 (800O4005)':
Method 'Add' of object 'CommandBarControls' failed

Stats
Running Window XP Pro Service Pack 1
MS Office 2002 Excel version (10.6501.6625) SP3

What I have tried
I have unistalled and reinstall Pup 2000 from the CD
I have ran Regedit and deleted the the following:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\ Common\Toolbars\Settings\Microsoft
Excel",
I have ran Excel's "Detect and Repair"
None of these have worked.

I do light programming with VBA, but none of my programming deals with
making new menus or menu items. So I don't think I inadvertantly wrote
some kind of malicious code.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I love PUP 2000 and I would really like it to work again.

TIA
Casey

Hi Casey

Try this

This can be a corrupt or bloated toolbar file
The .xlb file has all Toolbar customization in it.

Close Excel
Do a search for .xlb in windows
Rename the file you find (my file is named Excel10.xlb in 2002)
Start Excel

Deleting the file or renaming will do no harm on your system
Excel will create a new one for you.
(You lost your customization remember that)

If you make your own toolbars or add buttons to the others
This file is important (backup it so you can restore it)

Ron,
Worked like a magic wand. Thank you. And thank you for your fine search
tool Google Search 6.0, it has opened a treasure chest of resources for
me, that has added to my VBA education.
