Duplicate Contacts Are Driving Me Insane
Recently, I noticed that when I search for a contact by name, that often
(though not always) I would get two of contacts under that name. I would open one (I think its generally if not always the first of the two) and find nothing: no info, just the name. Other times I find some contact info, but less in one of the contact cards then the other. I'm starting to think there may be two sources to the problem. Maybe syncing my PDA is causing duplicates. Maybe my MS Live Office on the Internet is syncing up somehow, and that would explain the cards that have nothing but an e-mail. Does anybody have a way to simply make all the duplicates merge? Or if I have to go in and do it by hand, is there a setting I can change to make it stop allowing duplicates? Thanks. |

Rather difficult to answer your question since you provided no information.
Seems to me a pre-requisite for asking this question would have been to include your search method, Outlook version, steps used, and results obtained. Spare no details when you ask for help in a newsgroup. -- Russ Valentine "DeeDeeCee" wrote in message ... If you organize your contacts by "Created", you will notice that all the
duplicates were created at the same time. You can then move the whole lot into a separate Duplicates folder ... that way in case any non-duplicates wind up there you can move them back. -- --------- Ron B. mrbiggs.net "Russ Valentine" wrote: Rather difficult to answer your question since you provided no information.
