When I use Flag for follow-up function box no longer pops-up automatically at

Is the item in a default folder? Does it just turn red?

Hi Milly,
Thank you for replying. The items are in my Inbox and Sent Items Boxes. There is a red flag that appears next to the message once I flag the item for follow-up.
