Powerpoint and Ink
I am trying to find a good way to do annotations in powerpoint. I
like the annotations in the slideshow view, but need to use it in a normal view, because I also use the commenting feature a lot. Is there any way to get that limited ink functionality in the other views? Basically I need to be able to take notes about specific points on a slide and highlight/circle some things. I've also tried using the notes field, but it gets hard to tie the comment back to the item on the slide, whereas with the comments I can place it on the right place |

If you are using PowerPoint 2003 and above, you will be prompt to keep the
ink annotations when exiting. If you did not get this prompt, click Tools Options. Click on the View tab and put a checkmark on "Prompt to keep ink annotations when exiting." If you are using PowerPoint 2002/XP, then there's no way to keep the ink annotations. -- Shawn Toh (tohlz) Microsoft MVP PowerPoint Site Updated: Dec 24, 2006 PowerPoint Anime - Rewrite http://pptheaven.mvps.org PowerPoint Heaven - The Power to Animate " wrote: I am trying to find a good way to do annotations in powerpoint. Actually, that's not quite what I'm trying to do. I want to figure out a way to use annotations without giving up the functionality of the regular view (comments, tabbing back and forth to other programs, etc. |

You have to use Tablet PC. I have tried all sorts of ways. One other thing.
You can go through the presentation and ink mark. At the end, KEEP the ink marks. Go to normal view, highlight the ink mark, CUT and SPECIAL PASTE as ink. That will give you functionality with the ink marks which I think is your ultimate question. Otherwise, to use it directly in normal view, you need a tablet PC.
