I would like to email my PowerPoint presentation out to a group of people;
however, the sound does not come through with the presentation. Does anyone
know what I have to do in PowerPoint to ensure the music will be present and
playable in my presentation?

Thank you.

Try enclosing the PPT and sound files in a zip file and emailing that.
But first, see:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or email
a presentation

Send a presentation that opens automatically in email
