Cell Shows no Color until Data Entry

Please help - I am trying to help a friend in the office "Undo" whatever
makers her excel spreadsheet not show color of formatted cells until the cell
is selected and data entered. I know it is something with her personal
settings because everyone else can see the highlighted cells upon opening the
same spreadsheet. Hers is the only one that shows ZERO color until the cell
contains data, then the cell turns the right highlighted color while the rest
of the cells in the sheet stay w/out color.

It seems to be a macro or conditional formatting.
