Fixxing a curroted file access 2003, Vista/XP
Hello -
I'm facing a every once in a while a corrupted file of access 2003 Application. This DB is working OK until something is happenning and it starts introducinng un-reasonable masseges. From my understanding this is a corrupted file behaviour. I saw over the net that there is a software called AccessFix, do you know anything about this software ? is it working ? is it help ? Usually i use the Compact and repair method, or if this not helping I uses the import object.. or other solutions, but the AccessFix claim to solve the problem in a short time. Is any one know this SW, for good or for bad.. Thanks. -- Alu_GK |

If you've got corruption, you should also address the causes. The most
common cause of corruption is a single db file (not split) that multiple users are sharing at the same time (unless they're read only users). Is the corruption repairable with the built in compact/repair utility? If it is you don't need to buy AccessFix. If the corruption is repaired by importing the objects into a new db, you don't need to buy AccessFix. AccessFix only repairs the corruption, it doesn't prevent it. It doesn't fix all forms of corruption, just some of them. For instance if someone opens the db file in Word and saves it, AccessFix can't fix that, it's horked.
