Default scan hand written doc to Pub 2002

I have to insert a long hand-written (it is printed, not cursive)
notice to Publisher. I need to be able to edit it so it flows to next
columns, etc. OCR lets me edit, but attempts to convert the hand
written text to fonts. What a mess.
Is there a workaround?
Thank you,
Jim

You want to scan in a handwritten document and still be able to edit it but
not convert it to a font. You are asking too much. The closes thing to that
is to scan it in as a picture and cut the picture apart to fit the available
space.

Your scanned document is a picture, if you want to preserve the integrity of the
text treat it as a picture. Insert the document, copy. Crop up until it fits the
space. In the next space, paste, crop down to where you left off in the first
insert. And so on...

There may be an OCR program that will convert you document to a editable
font document; I don't know of one but it would be a worthwhile search. Try
a search for OCR programs and then calls to their support groups.
