Default field formula

I am creating a form with basic calculations. I encountered no problems until
I tried to set up a subtraction formula with a bookmark that was itself the
result of a calculation. Apparently, the bookmarks used in the formula need
to have the "number" property, and not "calculation". How can I bypass that?

Jessica,

By your use of the terms "number" and "calculation" it sounds like you are
using a protected form fields inserted in your table cells. You should not
have a problem with using one calculation field result as a variable in a
follow on calculation.

I inserted 4 fields, double clicked on each and book marked them A B C and
D. I set A and B as number fields, C and D as calcultion fields, I checked
calculate on exit for all four fields.

In C I entered =A-B in D I entered =C-A everything worked fine.

Post back with more details if you are still having problems.
