Shared Contacts for distribution list
We are using Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003/Xp/2002.
We have few users who have several of external email addresses. They want a distribution list in the exchange GAL so they can send email out. I've created a contract-type folder in the public folder and gave them permission to put their external email addresses in there. I've also gave them permission to modify the distribution list in the exchange server. The problem is when they go to property of the DL from Outlook, and want to modify the DL to add members, Outlook does not show the contact-type folder I've created in the PF. However it shows it if I want to send a blank email to someone. Why is this? Is there other alternative way of doing this? Thanks sean |

Shared Contacts for distribution list
Exchange DLs can't use contacts in Public Folders. They only use contacts
from Active Directory. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Sean" wrote in message ...
