Database distribution
I have created a database which works well and now it is ready for user input
I have read in various forums that you need to split the database in 2 FE and BE which I have done I have also read that you need to make a copy to put on each users desktop. Here lies the problem: I have almost 200 user does that mean I will have to make about 200 copies and go to each desktop to install the copy. is there an easier way of distibuting the database or do I make one copy and get each user to copy it onto their desktop. |

Database distribution
I put a copy on the network drive that everyone uses and then have them copy
it to My Documents. Then all they have to do is make a shortcut to it. Remember that the users must have read/write/edit/ and delete rights to the folder the BE resides in and the BE. Then Tony Toews has an updater where you can automatically update all 200 user's as you update the frontend. Google Tony Toews (or maybe it is Teows) to find his site.
