Default Shortcut Menu Item Disabled

Nothing seems easy. I assigned a shortcut menu to a form. The
shortcut menu has two commands Select All Ctl-A and Delete. When
I'm in customize mode the shortcut menu shows the Select All Ctl-A.
But when I bring the menu up after the form opens the Select All is
disabled although I'm able to select all records using the keyboard
by pressing Ctl-A. I thought this would be a simple process but
I was wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
James
