Validation data

i want to do a list so that users can pick from the list what price they want i have solved this with validation data but in the
drop down list users see the result off the function i use, how users can see only a name like vat18 or vat8 or vat20

It sounds like what you want to do could be done with a combination of the
Validation drop down box to display the "vat8", etc, and a VLOOKUP function
to get the formula.
