Help!
My Home/Student trial offer expired and I tried to convert to the full
verson, but loaded a trial offer of Office Professional by mistake. It deleted my Outlook Express and replaced it with Office Outlook. It stated everything from Outlook Express would pull through to Professional Outlook, but it didn't. I've lost my contacts info, calendared appts info and messages I'd save in my Inbox and Folders. Any suggestions on how I recover this info? I currently forward my emails from sbcglobal.net to Outlook, any idea how I ensure I have that set up correctly? Thanks! |

Outlook express 6 CANNOT be deleted by any applications because it is hard-wired with IE6 even if you upgrade to IE7 and IE8, OExpress will still be there. Now, I suggest try this link: "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" If it works, it will launch your OE otherwise please copy and paste the link in your Windows explorer (even in IE it should work!). hth -- THE INFORMATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Installing Office does NOT delete Outlook Express or it's data because OE has no affinity with Office at all - it's a completely different program. What makes you think it has? |

Thanks for the info, but it didn't work. Does it make a difference if it was
a trial version? Where do I type in the link? Help!
Gordon -
I can't find the version of Outlook Express or Express Mail... It was a trial version I think, does that make a difference? Any idea where I should look to try and find it? I'm not very adept at computers. Thanks! "Gordon" wrote: "booboo" wrote in message ... I'm not very adept at computers. Thanks! There's no such thing as a trial version of Outlook Express. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
