Why is my computer trying to send messages I can't identify?
My computer is trying to send 2-5 messages every time I send an e-mail or try
to receive e-mails. It has never done this before in the 5 years I've owned the computer. It does this even though there are no messages in my outbox. It looks like it is not being successful because it usually ends with an error message and takes along time. The only thing I can think of is that it seemed to start after I authorized a response to a request for a read receipt on an e-mail. Any ideas? Thanks |

Your computer isn't trying to do it, Outlook is, and you're right to guess
these are read receipts. That's likely what they are. To learn more and also fix the problem, read he http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/d...eadreceipt.htm -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Solfam5" wrote: My computer is trying to send 2-5 messages every time I send an e-mail or try to receive e-mails.
