Default Design Templates don't apply font sizes consistantly

Not sure if this is by design or not, but. .

Using Powerpoint 2002, SP3 and we have a design template setup with the
standard title and text area (using placeholders). If you open the design
template directly for editing, the title font and size is Arial 31 - the
text placeholder font and size is Arial 22. When you apply the design
template to a brand new blank presentation, the title and text placeholder
sets to Arial 28 and 20 respectively. When you view the slide master in
this new presentation, the text sizes are in fact set to 28 and 20
respectively - Not the original 31 and 22 as created in the original master.

I'm assuming this is an error with the original design master, but I can't
seem to find what's wrong.

Thanks

Hi,

Try this:
Click on Tools, AutoCorrect Options, AutoFormat As You Type, Uncheck both
AutoFit Title Text and AutoFit Body Text.
