Strange Table Locking Error
I have a MDB on our network that stores data from a third party VB app. I
have created another MDB that links into this third party MDB database to run reports that are not provided by the third party app. On one workstation, I am getting a message that "table xyz is locked by user admin on machine CMM1" when I try to access the third party MDB tables through my MDB. There IS someone using the third party app, and there is an LDB file present. However, on another workstation, I do not get this error and I am able to access the data without any issues regardless if there is another person in the third party app or not. It seems to be workstation-specific. What is causing this error, and how do I work around? Help! Thanks Joe |
