embedded slides in Word
I am creating PDF versions of several PPT presentations in version 2003. I am using File Send To Microsoft Word with the "notes below slides" arrangement.
The resulting Word and PDF files are HUGE for a short presentation. I see that the small slide images are actually embedded PowerPoint objects that I can double click on and edit. How do I flatten these embedded objects down in Word to just an image? (Preferably without taking a screenshot of them and pasting them back in. Hopefully that makes sense! -- Kevin |

From PowerPoint, click File Send To Word.
Instead of selecting Paste, select Paste link. In Microsoft Word, select the objects, click Edit Links. Click Break Link and this will convert the objects into images. Alternately, check out the Slide Into Word Add-in which allows you to convert PowerPoint slides into Word with smaller output document size: http://billdilworth.mvps.org/SlideIntoWord.htm -- Shawn Toh (tohlz) Microsoft MVP PowerPoint Site Updated: Nov 15, 2006 Added PowerPoint 2007 Visual Tour (OfficeArt Effects) http://pptheaven.mvps.org PowerPoint Heaven - The Power to Animate "Kevin" wrote: I am creating PDF versions of several PPT presentations in version 2003. embedded slides in Word
I have Office 2007. Want to break the link to the slides I have in my word
doc. I can't find any comparable way to do this from your instructions for 2003. When I right click the slide, I only get open or edit, or convert. Could you help me locate the add-in I need for Word? -- SLB "tohlz" wrote: Glad it helps. -- Shawn Toh (tohlz) Microsoft MVP PowerPoint Site Updated: Nov 15, 2006 Added PowerPoint 2007 Visual Tour (OfficeArt Effects) http://pptheaven.mvps.org PowerPoint Heaven - The Power to Animate "Kevin" wrote: That's great!
