Exporting to PDF File--can't get ride of Track Changes formatting
Even though my document version is "final", when I export my Word document to
a PDF creator, it still keeps the Track Changes formatting, showing a greatly reduced version of the document in the PDF format. |

Are you saying you're viewing it as "Final' or that you've accepted/rejected
the tracked changes and removed them from the document? If the former then you need to accept/reject the tracked changes. Final view doesn't "finalize" the document -- the tracked changes are still present. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beth Melton Microsoft Office MVP https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Melton What is a Microsoft MVP? http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/gp/mvpfaqs "Richard Schreiber" Richard wrote in message ... Exporting to PDF File--can't get ride of Track Changes formatt
Hi, Beth, it doesn't matter if I've accepted the changes and turne off
comments, etc. When I export to PDF it still shrinks the document to a fraction of the page. It does not display any changes, just greatly shrinks the document. I've tried turning off everything about the Markup features. Nothing works. I'm beginning to think it is a bug, because it pertains to all documents I open in Word. How do I get rid of the default track changes document mode when I load Word? Maybe that would help? Word doesn't track changes by default. If your new documents have Track
Changes turned on then chances are Track Changes is set in your Normal template, Normal.dot or Normal.dotm depending on the version of Word you are using. If the output of a document is still showing the Markup Area then there is still some type of tracked change in the document. You mentioned Comments were "turned off". Do you mean they have been removed from view or deleted? Also, what version of Word are you using? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beth Melton Microsoft Office MVP https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Melton What is a Microsoft MVP? http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/gp/mvpfaqs "Richard Schreiber" wrote in message ...
