Exclamation Points and check marks on the file icons?
All of a sudden all of my file icons (for every file type--doc, mp3, jpg)have
either a green circle with a check mark or a red circle with an exclamation point at the bottom left corner of the icon. I cannot figure out what this means. Is there something wrong with the files that have red exclamation points? Everything is opening just fine, but I'm really puzzled by the new icons.

Have you recently subscribed to an online backup service or have you recently
installed backup software on your PC? The online backup services and some backup programs use small icons to mark files that are backed up vs. those that haven't yet been backed up.
