I'm new to using Access. I am trying to build a calulation for a query. I am having a building the correct calulation because I don't know how it works. Does anyone know were I can get detailed information on building a caluation for a query involving tables?

You might try Access help files: Calculations + About calculations in a query plus when you type calculations in the Help Index dialog you'll get a long list of possibilities to read about.
