address book empty although contacts folder populated
Outlook XP had a blip and although the contacts folder is poulated with
contacts the address book has no entries, there is no listing for contacts or global address list and when composing an email clicking on the "TO" box shows no contacts. I have uninstalled and reinstalled out look and also done a detect and repair - any ideas how to fix this? |

address book empty although contacts folder populated
I have the same problem when using an ldap server. All the setting are
correct and 100 others are using it, but this one user has no display of the names? Batman
I had the same problem earlier, if the link Brian provided is invalid because they contact lists are already configured, then it is the same problem I had. I fixed it by doing the following: Edit your user profiles, instead of adding a new address book, delete the "Outlook Address book" your contacts should stay, mine did anyway, you can then immediately click the new button and the wizard will allow you to create a new "Outlook address book" click apply ok and exit Outlook. Start it back up and go through the process of registering your address book as detailed at : http://support.microsoft.com/?id=287563 and when you next click on you address book button the address book should be populated. -- Douglas Head A+ Australia "batman" wrote: Outlook XP had a blip and although the contacts folder is poulated with contacts the address book has no entries, there is no listing for contacts or global address list and when composing an email clicking on the "TO" box shows no contacts.
