Auto configuration of Outlook 2010 beta - IMAP Gmail
When 2010 beta autoconfigured gmail account, it made outgoing server
"imap.gmail.com" - should be - "smtp.gmail.com" (per Google) One result was that each email send got a pop up saying that the server certificate was expired and asked if it should still be used. Changing outgoing server as described appears to have remedied this issue. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Three seconds with nslookup would have told you that. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
