Shortcut to a specific form and record
I've seen lots of threads on shortcuts to open a database. But are there any
commands to open a specific form with a specific record? This is to incorporate as an attachment to an automatically generated e-mail asking the user to carry out a review of this record. -- CK |

Shortcut to a specific form and record
You can easily create a shortcut to a form, by dragging it from the database
window to your desktop BUT that will not allow a user to access your desktop, and no one should be running a front-end from a server. The only way to Access a record automatically would be to build a form to open to that particular record. What I would do is to build an easy search form and instruct the user what to look for. There is a quick search form that can be easily adapted at: http://www.datastrat.com/Download/Search2K.zip -- Arvin Meyer, MCP, MVP http://www.datastrat.com http://www.mvps.org/access http://www.accessmvp.com "CK" wrote in message ...
