Default Confused by OE 6 font options

Hello all.

I've recently bought a new PC. My old computer had Outlook Express 5, which
I got on well with, but now I have OE 6 I can't get my head round the font
options.

I would prefer to read my e-mails in the same fonts as they were originally
written. What settings do I have to change for that? I didn't have a problem
doing this with OE 5, but with OE 6 it seems most of my mail I can only read
in the one font I've had to pick from a list (Tools/Options/Read/Fonts).

Also, when I reply to an e-mail, I want the sender's font to remain the
same, below my typed reply.

Similar prob with newsgroup postings.... Instead of being able to view the
messages in the plain (non-HTML) format they're posted in, I can only read
them in the font I've had to pick from the font list.

Please help. It's beginning to bug me.

Default Confused by OE 6 font options

With plain text messages, there is no coding of the font (aside from =
character sets), so what you send is just that, plain text. You read in =
the font according to the settings under Tools | Options | Read | Fonts. =

If you want to specify fonts, then you have to use HTML messaging.
