Default Cross References in Word

When I insert a cross reference into a document, when I
update the references Word seems to put in a page break
after the cross reference. Does anyone know a solution
for this, or if there is a fix for it ?

Thanks

Default Cross References in Word

Alan,

This happens when you insert a cross-reference, then insert a page break (or
section break) right before the referenced item, the break gets picked up in
the cross-reference. The only way to fix it at that point is to re-insert
the cross reference. It is usually better to avoid manual page breaks.
Look into using the "Page break before" format option for paragraphs.

cjd
