Default word table flickers

After I have changed the margins of the page of whole document, the tables
within the header and footer keeps flickering constantly as if to adjust the
width of the table. How do I resolve the constant flicker of the header and
footer tables ? Thanks in advance.

If the tables are set to auto resize or for 100% width, you may just have to
live with it. Can you use something other than a table in the header?

I haven't seen the phenomenon... but maybe setting "Table AutoFit" to
fixed width might help?

The problem is that often the reason for using a table (at 100% width) is so
it will automatically resize to fit both portrait and landscape margins.
