You will never be able to save a Publisher file that folks can't edit. Convert
it to a PDF or an image. The method is exactly as Morisot described. There are
free PDF converters around.

Hello
I tried this, what is the point of copying the page the way you described I
did this but didn't notice a change-Sorry
What I would like to do is lock the editing on a document and make it read
only, but in the Properties General Tab the "Read only" area is greyed out
and I cannot choose this option.

Hi-

If you have a PDF program - save a copy as a PDF and send that.

or...

Open a new Publisher file with the same size page as your original and with
as many pages as your original.

In your original file, Select AllCopy a page (or pair of facing pages.).

In the new file, Paste SPECIAL as PICTURE onto the new page.

You will have to do this procedure for each page (or facing pair.)

(DO NOT get rid of or delete your original file because you cannot edit the
"picture" copy!)
