Problem with 07 Office Pdf/Xps Add-in
Hi John
Thanks for your long response. Will try out yr suggestion. If nothing works, I'll install a 3rd party programme. "John Inzer" wrote in message ... Problem with 07 Office Pdf/Xps Add-in
Excuse me for butting in here, but earlier in this thread you said that you
tried to use primopdf and it choked after converting only one and a half pages. This implies that there is something on that second page that is creating the problem. I would hazard a guess that you have some design element hanging out into the scratch area off the page, and that would explain why primopdf didn't work, and why the office pdf addon also chokes. Study that second page. Try opening a new template and without making any changes, try the pdf conversion. If successful, at least you know the problem is with the specific file. Problem with 07 Office Pdf/Xps Add-in
Hi David, thanks for joining in the fray! You could be right. Well, the
Publisher has actually prompted my once to say that there were few problematic items which it was more than happy to correct for me. I followed the options allowed and it seems to have corrected them; there was no more prompting from it since then. If there is still something that is still choking the conversion, it is not obvious and I do not know how to locate it. Furthermore, I have tried out an open source converter and it has done a perfect job (perhaps Prima cannot jive with the Publisher). However, I would rather not have it take up my limited space if I can rely on the Publisher. "DavidF" wrote in message ... Problem with 07 Office Pdf/Xps Add-in
I have used Primopdf for many years and would prefer to keep it over the
Office pdf addin, if I had to choose. It works with anything that you can print, from any program, and the more recent versions allow me to append pages to existing pdf files, which is a feature I use a lot. If you can open a new multipage template in Publisher and get it to work with primopdf or the Office pdf addon, then once again that suggests something wrong with your publication. Perhaps deconstructing the second page by dragging the content off into the scratch area, and adding back design elements one by one, testing as you go will help you find what is causing the problem. Good luck... DavidF "Menikos" wrote in message ... Hi David, thanks for joining in the fray! You could be right.
